“So… all the while that I was hiding and working on my programs, I was… forgotten. And if someone connected me to the pretty boy on the other website where your friends found me, it usually doesn’t reach me.”
“Why are you telling me this?” she asked. “Why don’t you tell her? I… she has to be told because she couldn’t… if she finds out from someone else she will think we betrayed her.”
“I will find the right time to tell her, Angel. Don’t pout. If you keep on doing that, I will have to come there and un-pout them myself – a most enjoyable activity, if I remember it right. And believe me… as much as we both enjoyed it tremendously, it’s not a good idea, the way things are.”
Carla immediately un-pouted her lips, then threw him a dark look when he smiled.
“I had planned on telling her about it here, actually. Supposedly, after she has settled down after our arrival. But when you suddenly appeared like you did on the airport… it’s become difficult for me. I hadn’t known you knew each other. It’s a different situation now. I expect she will not be happy, eventually, about my… confession.”
Carla softened after his speech. “She might surprise you. Thera is one of the sweetest, kindest people I know.”
“You haven’t been together for ten years, Carla. How can you be sure?”
“Hey, you can’t say that about my friend!”
“She is kind and nice and sweet. But who’s going to say she will not get jealous when she finds out I had sex with you first? Are you ready? What if she hates you?”
“Oh.” She closed her eyes. Then she gathered her wits. “You have to talk to her. She is likely to find out from elsewhere and things will be worse then. Here in Greece, there aren’t many people who know you because they are still a little conservative and women aren’t that liberated. But you can’t take the risk. She will get hurt hearing it from others. She will think that we lied.”
“Is that why you pretended that you didn’t know me at the airport?”
“I was shocked to see you! And judging the circumstances of our acquaintance, how can I tell her? Why are you blaming me?”
“I am not.”
“I believe it’s not my place to tell her – it’s yours. And I will only say something after you’ve done it first.”
Chapter Eleven
“I do not plan to tell her about Mykonos,” he said. “I will only tell her about my former job description because that is the only secret she will likely find out in Australia. But no one knew about Mykonos except the two of us and your friends. It happened when she wasn’t a part of my life yet. The decision to tell her about that will be on your shoulders.”
She sighed. “Then I will discuss it with my friends and I will make a decision, but not right now. Right now, I only want to protect my friend from a potentially dishonest man.”
His eyes glittered in anger. “You don’t like men very much, do you?”
His question surprised her and she answered without thinking. “I like them only when they’re being honest. But they usually are posturers – like you.”
He suddenly stood up, his face a little grim. “I did not ‘posture’.”
“You did in Mykonos,” she said angrily. Accusingly. “Oh, please don’t give me that look,” she huffed. “I wanted the illusion so I let it happen. But it was all posturing. You were there for that very task. It just so happened that maybe… maybe you liked the task. But it doesn’t mean you had been honest.”
“Ah! And you want to know honest? I rocked your world two years ago, Carla. That’s what’s honest. And I believe… judging from what you told your friend when you didn’t realize I can hear you, that no man has done what I did for you yet.”
Carla was suddenly under the impression that she was facing an angry Jake Winters. Why is he angry at me, she thought. It wasn’t like he minded what she thought of him or what she did with other men.
“Well, will you deny it? That I rocked your world?”
“Typical male line,” she said. “How do you know that no man had ‘rocked my world’ again since then? Maybe I just wasn’t into that thing. My relationships may have been very short, but my time with you wasn’t the only time someone had—“
She suddenly realized her mistake of baiting him when he instantly covered the distance between them and jumped on her, sticking her to the wall that was just a step behind her. He grabbed her wrists and stretched them over her head while his body immobilized hers on the wall.
“I will rock your world again,” he growled before his mouth ravaged hers.
She gasped, shocked, but he only exploited that opportunity to spear her mouth with his tongue. His ruthless kiss provoked her as the grinding of his body against hers stoked the hunger that she realized she had started feeling since she met him again. And he was here again; and his hard, hot kiss teased her; and his body battled to arouse her with such brash mastery that her mind simply blacked out. Her senses went wild and she responded with the same passionate craving. She fought to free her hands but only because she had wanted to touch him. But his grip was too tight, and she completely lost her mind for wanting him so much.
His legs were between her thighs and the bulge of him rubbed exactly on her apex, and she felt herself burn under her skirt and silk underwear. She rubbed herself on him, ashamed but helpless at the face of her lust, and going frenzied as she felt him growing bigger and harder. Oh God… she remembered him being so big that he filled her so fully and wonderfully, rubbing at her inside walls and satisfying all hunger as she cried her release. Her pace became wilder as she felt the desperation to feel that kind of release again which she had never felt with the few men that came after him. They were not like him… never, however hard they tried to please her. He did rock her world and made ashes of other men.
He growled inside their burning kiss, and his hands released her because he probably knew by this time that she had no intention of pushing at him, of fighting him. He grabbed her ass and lifted her up, and she knowingly wrapped her legs around his waist until her most intimate spot was again rubbing on the hard rod under his clothes. He moved her up and down, rubbing her on him with a rage born out of desperation… faster, viciously.
The fire was now concentrated on the part of her body which seek consummation, and when his movement became frenzied, rubbing her at the right places, rubbing her at just the right pace, she exploded. Seconds before she completely lost everything, she felt him jerk, and then he spasmed, desperate growling as his own climax gripped him and threw him down the edge of no return…
When Carla finally returned from orgasm land, they were both on the floor, completely dressed, sitting side by side with their backs against the wall. His eyes were closed, his face was white and his body was still shaking pretty much like hers. His shorts blatantly bore the sign of their indiscretion.
The realization of what had just happened hit her on the head like a sledge hammer. She stood on trembling knees, even when it felt like gravity had grown ten times stronger than five minutes ago.
Chapter Twelve
“Christ… what have we done?” she whispered.
He stood up indolently and he watched her. At least he had the nerve to look a little guilty even as he said the words. “Rocked each other’s worlds?”
She furiously turned to him. “Are you completely mad? One minute you say that you don’t want Thera to have a bad idea about you and me and the next…?” She couldn’t continue, since she was also part of the act. “What kind of Mister Jekyll and Doctor Hyde act is this? Are you totally deranged?
“You can ask yourself the same question, Angel,” he said in a calm voice. “It had been too long, hadn’t it? And you missed the feeling, too?”
She had slapped him before she knew what she was doing. And then she was staring at him in shock.
He was looking back at her, his blue eyes furious, but he was strangely calm while his cheek bore the imprint of her palm. “What happened between us was s
omething that could never happen when we are with other people. Sadly, I never had the same compulsion to tear at Thera’s clothes and fuck her there and then the same way I feel for you. So this is what’s going to happen… I will have to break up with her.”
“No…!” she whispered.
“No?” he mocked. “Do you think I can still have an ‘honest’ relationship with her after this? There is no way that I can, and willingly, live this up. I had never been a posturer. I told you, what I did when I still do escorting, I enjoyed. I never did anything wrong. I never had sex with married women. I entertained, but I never trespassed on anyone’s back door. I certainly never had sex with someone who paid me to do it with them. Fortunately, my good looks and dance moves were enough to satisfy my clients,” he said sarcastically, while she remembered that he returned the money Adelpha paid for their week together. “In fact, this is the first act of indiscretion I ever did, and Thera doesn’t deserve this.”
She closed her eyes, again feeling the guilt for her part in that.
Then she jumped when she felt him standing very close to her, enough that she again felt his warm breath on her face and smelled her cologne mingled with his own on him.
“I have to clean up. Thera might be wondering what happened to me while Gia might be wondering what’s been keeping us both. Relax, Angel. There was no penetration… yet. When that happens… well, you’ll know it.”
And after that, he’d left.
The gentle click of the door when he closed it behind him made her flinch. Then she went to the mirror to look at herself, and gasped when she saw the wet spot on the front of her skirt that could have been his juice, or hers.
She still felt very wet.
As she cleaned herself up in the bathroom, she was thinking. It could have been very easy for him to take her to the bed and do it all the way. She had to gulp as she remembered how his cock felt when it was inside her in Mykonos, massaging her vaginal walls and making her feel like wanting to climb the walls at the same time, even as she again felt the guilt of betraying her friend Thera.
They were going to break up, and it would be because of her. How could she do this to Thera? She would hate her when she finds out!
She had to stop him. They’re going to have to stop this madness. They could do that. She would do it. It would be just for a few days and they’d be gone. And then it would be easier.
She was already too used to the feeling of the emptiness that the memory of Mykonos had left her with, and she could do it again. She would do it for Thera.
She closed her eyes and breathe deeply, several times, as she felt the sadness at the feeling that she had finally found the one thing that had been missing, the one thing that could have filled that hole in her life.
But what really made her very sad was when she remembered the moment after she had slapped Jake, and he was very furious, his eyes blue daggers as they looked at her.
But it had never even entered her mind that he would hit her back.
A tear went down her cheek.
She had felt safe, safer with him than with any other man she had ever met.
And again, she knew with a certainty that after he went back to Australia, it would be very hard for her to meet someone like him ever again.

Angel Green Eyes
Prologue
The little child trembled.
She was barely four years old, her face hidden as she was turned away from the guests, her little hands clutching at the long dress of the person holding her. She was all confused, very scared, too scared she couldn’t cry. Where’s her mommy? Where’d they take her? She wants to go home.
She didn’t know how long it was since her mom bled and people took her away on a black bed they carried to the car with the flashing lights. She hadn’t seen her pappy, too. She remembered her mommy crying, and her pappy carrying a black thing they called gun on TV. Then the explosion. She could hear her own screams again when she saw her mommy bleeding from a hole on her body, just near her breasts. But no one could hear her now. The screams were always inside her head.
“She is suffering from trauma and she hasn’t spoken a word since she was brought here,” someone was saying. “We are hoping a safe environment, a happy home, can help her recover. Her parents…” there was a hesitation, “are on vacation,” the gentle voice continued. “It will be very long before they can come back.”
That was when she looked up and unwittingly exposed her face. She wanted to ask if they were fixing her mommy on this vacation. But something prevented her from speaking. She only wanted to see her mommy.
“Oh, gracious! She looks like an angel. What pretty green eyes!” the woman, the visitor, exclaimed. The woman who has a kind face admired her for a few more minutes, smiling at her so adoringly, that she almost… almost smiled. It was because she was looking at her like her mommy would look at her. Like she was special. Like she was… loved.
“She is beautiful, right? We hesitate giving her up to people we don’t know, even after a thorough check and strict interviews. But we have known you both for a long time and you have helped us much here with the other children. When you both said you were ready and willing to adopt, I at once thought of Carla. We agreed that when we let you take her home, she will be protected. Not exploited.”
She could only hear them, she hadn’t understood anything except the word “take her home”.
“Want to go home,” she mumbled.
She did not understand why they made a big fuss after that. But when they all agreed that she was going home, she had felt better. The woman with the kind eyes held her hand, and she talked to her until she let her put her on her lap. The other visitor, her husband, was looking at both of them indulgently. It was as if he liked seeing them together.
They took her home. It was a different house than she remembered, but she could not tell them they were mistaken when she found the beautiful dolls in the bedroom they said was hers, and because she really liked the large, pink bed.
It was the home she grew up in.
Later on, when she was grown enough to understand, they told her that her real parents were both gone. That her father had killed her mother in a drunken rage, and after that he shot himself with the same gun he used to kill her. They said it was done when she was also in the room, but she couldn’t remember. She could only remember the blood on her mother’s chest, and the shots the gun made. She remembered, and she had had nightmares about them.
The nightmares were eventually pushed away by the beautiful house, the loving parents, and everything else positive that her adoption into the right family had brought her. And it had been a family, with her parents and helpers in the house. The sea soothed her like no other, she shared her mother’s passion for driving in a long stretch of secluded road, and her father had been very delighted with her creativity that eventually showed on her photographs. He often said she got it from him, the successful architect. And he was always proud when he said this.
The nightmares were replaced by something else after her trip to Mykonos.
They were replaced by dreams – dreams of loving smiles, of hot kisses, of sweat and sex and whispers in the morning, as she was falling sleep. They were replaced by a hand groping in the night for her sex, and his penis penetrating her everytime they make it inside the door of the rented house.
Making sex, anywhere, everywhere inside that house.
And then he was leaving. He was just gone. And everything was just… over.
Those dreams would always end with her image as she looked at a mirror – looking through the large hole in her chest as if everything within that diameter had been cut out.
A large hole. A large emptiness.
And then she would wake up sweating, with the screams echoing, but only inside her head....
